緊急地震速報の取消し
EEW cancelled
JMA has withdrawn the Earthquake Early Warning: it was triggered by something that was not the predicted quake (noise, or a mis-located or over-estimated event). The warned strong shaking is not expected. If you actually felt strong shaking, treat it as a real earthquake.
What to do now
- You can stop sheltering if you felt no strong shaking.
- Check JMA's earthquake information for what actually happened.
- Keep your phone's emergency alerts on: the next one may be real.
Example: the 2026-10-16 12:40 JST warning (estimated M9.9) was cancelled; JMA fixed the cause at about 21:30 that day.
